Mixed with crushed almonds and honey, it constitutes: L’Amlou, a very nutritious paste often eaten for breakfast. The researcher Zoubida Charrouf, specialized in organic chemistry at the University of Rabat, has greatly contributed to the scientific knowledge of this oil and of other by-products of the argan tree. Thanks to CRDI (International Development Research Center, a Canadian state-owned company), she also worked to establish the very first argan oil processing cooperatives, entirely run by women.
